Volunteers Wanted at Iowa Legal Aid

Iowa Legal Aid provides free, high quality legal education, advice, and representation to low-income and elderly Iowans with civil legal problems that most dramatically affect Iowa’s poor and vulnerable populations.  We rely on volunteers to help us expand our abilities to reach even more people and provide them with excellent services.  If you would like a meaningful, dynamic, and professional volunteer position, please consider volunteering with Iowa Legal Aid in one of our available positions.

Innovative Technology - Even though Iowa Legal Aid is a nonprofit organization which faces the continuing challenges of securing sufficient funding, the program has been at the forefront of integrating new technology. In 2008, the program was awarded the National Legal Aid and Defender Association's Innovations in Technology Award. Enjoy using our technology as a volunteer.

Collegial Work Environment - Iowa Legal Aid recognizes the contributions that  volunteers can make in serving the legal needs of low-income Iowans. Good client service is very much dependent upon professional, patient and compassionate staff and volunteers who work closely with attorneys in extending the best legal services possible.
